NU Data Digest 2026-2027 is now available
Institutional Research & Analytics (Strategy and Delivery Office) has published the eighth edition of the Nazarbayev University Data Digest. It is the University’s yearly overview of key institutional data as of Fall 2026.
The Digest covers student enrollment, admissions, graduation and retention rates, degrees awarded, alumni outcomes, and faculty and staff. Most tables show trends over the past ten years.
Highlights of Fall 2026:
- 8,423 students: 5,562 undergraduate, 2,089 graduate and 772 in the Foundation Year Program
- 4,672 applicants to the Foundation Year and undergraduate programs, of whom 2,355 were admitted
- 1,861 degrees awarded in 2025-2026
- 96.1% first-year retention rate and 88.8% six-year graduation rate for undergraduates
- 349 international students from 37 countries
- 94.6% of the class of 2025 professionally active
- 1,053 faculty and staff, including 492 faculty and teaching academic staff
This edition also reflects the 2026 restructuring, including the new School of Computing and AI (SCAI) and the School of Engineering (SoE).
