Integration of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Curriculum at NU

SDG

NU strives for supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by integrating sustainable development principles across programs and courses. Through interdisciplinary learning, real-world case studies, and hands-on projects, students engage with global challenges such as climate action, responsible consumption, and social equity. We emphasize sustainability-focused research, ethical decision-making, and innovative solutions that prepare graduates to drive positive change in their fields. By embedding sustainability principles into our curriculum, we try to equip our students with the knowledge and skills to contribute meaningfully to a more sustainable future.

60 out of 74 academic programs currently offered at NU contain courses that either directly or indirectly support SDG goals (Diagram 1).
