Congratulations to the winners of the 2020 NU Teaching Awards!

To commemorate the 10th anniversary of Nazarbayev University, the NU Learning and Teaching Committee expanded nomination categories by including two new awards: Sharing NU Experience and Master Teacher.

Candidates were assessed by their Schools or Departments and then reviewed by the NU Learning and Teaching Committee. The Learning and Teaching Committee had a difficult task to choose the winners, as the process is becoming more competitive every year.

This year the winners are:

Master Teacher - Duishonkul Shamatov (GSE)

Sharing NU Experience - Zeinep Zhumatayeva (SSH)

Academic Integrity - the Kehinde Award - Aiymkul Ashimkanova (NUSOM)

Innovative Teaching - Abid Nadeem (SEDS)

Inclusive Teaching - Anna CohenMiller (GSE)

Integrating Research and Teaching – the Sofiya An Award - Costas Valagiannopoulos (SSH)

Leadership in Teaching - Ben Tyler (SEDS)

Internationalisation - Azliyati Azizan (NUSOM)
